Michael B -Jones

Dr Michael Blinston Jones
Dr Blinston Jones trained at Guy's Hospital, London and qualified in 1975, having previously gained a degree in psychology at University College, London in 1972. After hospital appointments in London and Canterbury, he became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 1977. The following year he entered general practice in Lyminge in partnership with Dr John Buchanan and, following Dr Buchanan's retirement, he set up a single-handed practice. His special interests include cardiology, allergies and psychology.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Catto

Dr Chris Catto
Dr Catto studied at St Andrew's University, gaining a B.Sc. in 1976. He then completed his clinical training at Manchester, qualifying in 1979. In 1981 he became a Diplomate of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (London) . After a variety of posts , both in Britain and abroad, he settled into general practice in Lyminge in 1989. In 1994 he became eligible to run Child Health Surveillance clinics. His special interests include diabetes and mother and child care.

 

 

 

 

 

 

M Hunniset

Mrs. Marie Hunnisett

Practice Manager
Mrs Marie Hunnisett is responsible for the administration and running of the practice. She should be able to help with any administrative or non-medical queries relating to the practice. She is available on most days.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Medical Secretary
Mrs Leigh Thomasons is our medical
secretary. Mrs Thomasons responsibilities include arranging NHS and private hospital appointments. She is available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Practice Nurses
Lorraine Lloyd and Deva Keeley a
re available during most of our surgeries and help to organise our various clinics. They can be seen by appointment. The practice nurses' responsibilities include diabetes monitoring, blood-pressure measurement, cervical smear tests, immunisation and general health advice.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Councellor
We have in-house councellors,  they can help with a
wide variety of psychological and emotional difficulties. They are at the surgery on Wednesday morning and can be seen by appointment. Patients will need to see one of the doctors initially to assess whether their problem is suitable for counselling. Leaflets are available at reception outlining the sort of problems she can help with.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

District Nurses
District Nurses are attached to the practice and are primarily available to give nursing care to patients in their homes at the request of the Doctor. They work closely with the practice Nurse to ensure continuity of nursing care for our patients both at home and at the surgery.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Community Midwife
Mrs. Elizabeth Archibald is our attached midwife. She holds ante-natal clinics at the surgery on Wednesday mornings.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Health Visitors

Are available every third Wednesday monthly between 11.00am to 1.00pm
